4 out of 5 stars Pleased!   January 15, 2010
M. Matza (Sarasota FL)
For the price, I was very pleased. Nearly everything about the guitar is perfect! The passive pickup allows direct plug-in to a stereo through a 1/4" to RCA cable (also available on Amazon for under $7). The only issue I had with this product is that the fret markers seemed to bulge out of the fingerboard a little...this seems to create a tinny feedback when popping or plucking. I may file them down in the future, but it's not terrible.

Wonderful beginner/intermediate instrument.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent beginner instrument   December 22, 2009

I'm a novice guitar player looking to learn bass, since I don't know anyone who plays one. This instrument surpassed my expectations on sound, quality, and factory setup. From the factory, this bass has lower action than my Combo/Selmer acoustic guitar did (and that's not a bass). Intonation at fret 12 is almost perfect on the factory setup, which is a very pleasant surprise to me.

The only quirk I've found so far is a very slight buzz down by the bridge on low E struck hard. I bet the player is the only person who can hear it, though.

A pro might find some faults with it, but I believe it will do well at all the bass playing I expect to do, given my skill level.

4 out of 5 stars Pretty nice bass   November 22, 2009
Randy (Deltaville, VA)
I have been playing bass for over 40 years - both electric and upright. I wanted a bass that I could practice runs on without plugging in and playing at bluegrass festivals, campfires, etc. This one fit the bill. It is a very good instrument for the money - good action, decent sound. My only additional purchase was for flat wound strings. The round wound that came with it don't give enough "bass" sound that I need for bluegrass. Otherwise, a really good value.

5 out of 5 stars a pleasent surprize   September 15, 2009
Fredi Tal (usa)
We bought the guitar for our 15 old boy for birthday. He was wanting a Acoustic Bass guitar for awhile, he was very pleased as the guitar have a good sound, a deep echo.
Thank you

5 out of 5 stars Great Buy for the money   August 21, 2009
J. Liotti (NJ, USA)
Been playing acoustic guitar for 25yrs, and wanted to try the bass.
I received the order in 24hrs, with free shipping!
The guitar was in great shape, no problems.
Will change the strings to a flatter variety, as per previous reviews.
All in all, great buy, great price.
